Still getting used to the gearbox!

Transport consultant working primarily for developers of all kinds; residential, retail, employment and (until the current Government killed it) with a specialism in renewable energy, particularly wind turbines. Need a car that can cruise the length and breadth of the country, then slip and slide its way up a farm track or across farm fields; all with low BiK!

Amarok Auto seems to do the job.

It's my first ever auto and, after 30 tears of averaging 25 - 30k miles and sometimes more a year in manuals, it's taking a lot of getting used to! Absolutely love the truck except when the gearbox frequently gets it wrong, which is infuriating!

Update; REALLY don't like the auto, which only works properly below 40mph on flat roads. It hasn't got a clue when driving out of town and goes into complete meltdown when it has even a hint of an incline. Hmmmm, maybe this wasn't such a good idea after all.......

Another update; really very, very disappointed with this truck. Great cross-country but absolutely dreadful on the road. The auto seems to get it wrong more often than it gets it right, the Truckman leaks like a sieve and the Sat Nav can't even place us in the correct Country, Dealer extremely poor. Really regret going for VW.
